Sensors and Actuators
This course delves into diverse sensors and actuators, covering physical (temperature, force, acceleration),chemical (gas sensors, ion sensors),and biological sensing technologies. It begins with an exploration of the underlying physical principles, followed by practical applications. The emphasis is on the intricate connection between device parameters and material properties, essential for effective sensor and actuator functionality. Through specific examples, students learn about sensors and actuators within their measurement contexts, gaining insights into real-world applications and the symbiotic relationship between technology and materials. By the end of the course, students will possess a comprehensive understanding of these technologies and their practical implications.
The following course/module was developed at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
