Mining of minerals in Ukraine according to the concept of circular economy

Copyright 2025 TUBAFdigital

This course addresses the pressing global issues of climate change and natural resource depletion, highlighting the imperative of complete material utilization and recycling within the circular economy framework. The transformation of waste into a resource and waste reduction are pivotal aspects of sustainable development. The course underscores how waste generated across mining, processing, transportation, and consumption holds untapped potential as secondary raw materials for industry and energy sectors. In Ukraine, waste management challenges stem from high generation rates and limited infrastructure. The strategic importance of Ukraine's natural resources for economic sectors necessitates innovative waste processing solutions. Integrated use of passing minerals and their waste-derived counterparts becomes crucial to optimize resource utilization and support a circular economy. This course aims to foster resource efficiency and sustainable development through insightful exploration of waste-to-resource transformations.
